The domestic waste water is fed into the preliminary sedimentation and separated from the sediment substances.
STAGE 2 The buffer (collection of waste water thrusts):
The pre-cleaned waste water is stored in the buffer and dosed in thrusts into the SBR tank. This means that the biological cleaning stage is separated from the thrusts of water collected when e.g. the bath is emptied, on washing days, family holidays etc.
STAGE 3 The SBR-tank (biological cleaning and secondary sedimentation):
The actual biological cleaning of the waste water is performed in cleaning cycles. Aerated and non-aerated times alternate
A. Waiting phase / autom. economy mode
The SBR-tank is filled up to the minimum water level. The activated sludge inside is aerated with interruptions during the waiting phase in order to keep the micro-organisms alive and ready for use at all times, i.e. aerated and non-aerated times alternate. If there is no inflow, the system automatically remains in economy mode.
B. Filling / cleaning phase
The waste water in the buffer is dosed into the SBR-tank. The oxygen required to clean the waste water is supplied via an air compressor / submersible motor fan. To save energy, the air is supplied in timed cycles.
C. Sedimentation / pumping phase
During the sedimentation phase the activated sludge can sediment under flow-free conditions, i.e. the aeration and the pumps are not active. Any excess sludge is returned to the preliminary sedimentation. The cleaned water can be sent to the recipient or seepage.
